Evolution Essay
Three years sounds like nothing. But if you think about it, that's about 1/7th of my life, which is actually a considerable amount of time.
So, where has my writing brought me in the last 1/7th of my life? Far.
I entered college not even considering myself a writer. I loathed assignments that required more than 500 words. But I knew that as college continued more and more 500+ word papers would fall before me. Also, if we're being honest here, I truly envied those who could write with ease and produce beautiful pieces.
My motive for applying to the Minor in Writing program was to improve my writing and gain more confidence. Throughout my three years, I challenged myself to learn from each written piece that I produced.
This piece explains how several specific papers impacted my evolution as a writer and why I will exit college with 1/7th of my life now over, but with the ability to call myself a writer.
